Substance Abuse Treatment
Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric treatment are provided for individuals
suffering from psychiatric illness with acute behavioral
changes, neurological conditions and emotional difficulties
including but not limited to: major depression, bipolar
disorder anxiety disorder schizophrenia and other types of
dementia. Psychiatric evaluations are done on-site.
Dual Diagnosis Program
The dual diagnosis program offers critical care
intervention to patients with co-occurring disorders. Often
when people use drugs they exacerbate emotional,
psychological and psychiatric problems, which require
treatment in a dual diagnosis track. This program is
primarily designed to give undivided attention to addictive
and compulsive disorders.
Family Programs
The needs of the family are always addressed at MTOCC
and are often a critical factor in successful treatment. Our
goal is to help foster a family system that is supportive of
treatment. We provide an opportunity for the family as a
whole to begin to reorganize mutually satisfying and
productive interaction.
Partial Care Programs
The goal of this program is to prevent relapse by providing
mentoring and continuous treatment to foster community
integration, independence and employment once sobriety has
been achieved
Adolescent and Prevention Program
The Adolescent Substance Abuse Prevention Program focuses on
the awareness of drug abuse and places it within the social
context of adolescents. An educational component is provided
to demonstrate how drugs affect one's body and life, and how
individual can acquire the skills to make informed decisions
about drug use. The program utilizes group process in peer
groups, parents groups and multi-family groups. We espouse
therapeutic approach that emphasizes on motivational
enhancement and cognitive behavioral therapy.
The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This program serves as a "step down" from inpatient
hospitalization or as a means to prevent hospitalization. It
is designed for individuals who are able to remain in
regular school, at home or attend transitioning educational
program while being treated for chemical dependency. We
provide individual and peer group processes, education and
experiential exercises. The program focuses on the
individual’s specific needs, addresses self-awareness, 12
Step lifestyle and motivation.
Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
This program allows the patient to maintain family and work
responsibilities. It provides a treatment setting that is
less restrictive than residential rehab. The 12 Steps
philosophy is integrated with group processes and didactic
presentations. Our principal focus is to teach the clients
skills necessary to maintain abstinence from alcohol and
drugs as they initiate the process of recovery. The program
meets three evenings per week and random urine screens are
required. |
