Mt. Olive Counseling Group LLC is by God’s grace an exceptional Counseling Service, design to serve a diverse group of people concerning all counseling needs.
As the name implies, Mt. Olive is a symbol of separation for divine purpose. The night before Jesus was arrested, he took some of his disciples to the garden of Gethsemane to pray with him, but the situation became emotionally intense that he separates him self from them and went to Mt. Olive to seek the father’s will. The same analogy is applied at Mt. Olive Counseling Group as we encourage people to take a step and separate themselves from the anguish of this life, and seek a purpose driven-life change. Mt. Olive Counseling Group is dedicated to providing counseling, by Certified Counselors, in accordance with Biblical principles and standards that will meet the needs of people spiritually, therapeutically, educationally, and emotionally. We are committed to bringing healing, growth, and wholeness to our clients.

Mt. Olive Counseling is birth by the founders’ vision. Dr. Akpan earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling, MA in Christian Counseling and MS in Information Systems Engineering. His passion for human race has driven him and his wife Julia to a burning mission of fulfilling God’s purpose. Emmanuel is commissioned to helping the emotionally wounded people. He has been involved in some community outreach programs through various organizations and local churches. He is also the founder of Christian Business Network (CBN). Rev. Dr. Akpan is a pastoral counselor who specializes in spiritual abuse and other emotional disorders. Julia Akpan earns MBA degree-Global management & marketing, and she is currently employed as an adjunct professor in various colleges teaching Business Org. & Management. Julia has being committed to counsel business owners God’s way at Mt. Olive Counseling Group. They both co-authored the book Exposing Church/Spiritual Abuse.
